Atlantis- Child of Poseidon

Hello everyone. This is my poetry thread. Welcome here, and rest your weary selves! Allow the sweet words of poetry ease your minds! Without furthur ado, let's begin!

Atlantis-Child of Poseidon

I remember in my youth I used to play in your meadows,
I was carefree, innocent and my heart did hold no shadows.
I remember how oft I ran up Poseidon's Hill,
And before his jade statue in reverence did I kneel.
I prayed with fresh garlands,"Bless my loved ones with long lives,
And for my beloved land, succour it from all strifes".

Oh my Atlantis, O Child of Poseidon, where into the depths have you gone?
Know that I seek thee, with silent tears I awake every morn.

I remember in my youth, I sailed the vast Seas with dear father,
And beneath the silver halo, our ships went like a feather.
I remember our mighty undefeated troops,
trampled the Earth where He did lead,
With flying chariots and fiery darts, all else before them fled.
Even to the jaws of Death, readily fell both man and steed,
And in our happy times, our halls overflowed with sweet mead.

Oh my Atlantis, Child of Poseidon, where into the depths have you gone?
Know that I seek thee, with silent tears I awake every morn.
